Repair FAQ

Do I need an appointment for instrument repair?

No appointment is needed. Bring the instrument in during shop hours — Wednesday to Friday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM or Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM — and it gets looked at and quoted before any work begins.

What kinds of repairs do you handle?

Everything from a quick adjustment, a stuck valve or slide, and dent work through to pad and cork replacement, complete overhauls and refinishing on brass and woodwind instruments. Looking to buy instead? See instruments & accessories.

Is it worth repairing an older instrument?

Often, yes — a well-made older horn is usually worth putting back into playing shape. Bring it in or call (541) 686-2484 and it gets an honest look before you decide. Not sure it's worth fixing yet? Our rental & lease program is a low-risk way to keep playing in the meantime.
